Jeremy Powers, 2012 US National Cyclocross Champion!

Jeremy is the 2012 US National Cyclocross Champion who rides for the Rapha-Focus Cyclocross Team.  As a cyclocross instructor he has a gift to for delivering highly technical 'cross skills instruction with humor that is sure to keep all the campers laughing and having fun yet still remaining prudctive.  As an athlete, Powers is best known for his explosive starts (Jeremy got the holeshot at a World Cup in January), wire-to-wire victories, and an uncanny ability to hop cyclocross barriers. Jeremy has found an ideal mix of power and skill, thanks in no small part to years of practice.

Jeremy Powers was named VeloNews' North American Cyclocross Rider of the Year from standing on 18 podiums along with a top 10 ride at the Plzen, Czech UCI World Cup.  After years of knocking on the door, Powers won the US National Championships in 2012! Powers truly had a break out season no doubt from the cyclocross camp he coached for FasCat in 2011.

John Verheul Cyclocross Coach

John Verheul, JBV Coaching

John is a
longtime friend of FasCat, having collaborated with Frank on several projects over the years. We are thrilled to have him back for his 3rd year in a row coaching our cyclocross camp. "JBV" is known for his cyclocross-specific bike fits, which he will again be offering the day before camp officially starts.

Besides the FasCat camps, John has been coaching at cyclocross camps and clinics throughout the country since 2001. He has coached professonally for over 11 years, attaining USAC Level 1 certification in 2005. He spent three years as the team coach of the Clif Bar Development Cyclocross team, and has coached numerous national champions, as well members of the U.S. World Championship teams over the years.

John was an active cyclocross racer for 20 years, competing in nearly every region of the country, and at several national championships. He ended his career with a top-10 placing at the World Masters Cyclocross Championships in 2012.

Frank Overton

Frank is the founder of FasCat Coaching and the cyclocross camp's host.  For the third year in a row Frank has put together one of nation's premiere cyclocross camps with the goal of preparing cyclocross athletes of all abilities for their upcoming season.  Many years ago Frank raced in the Pro 1/2 field including several Super Cups but nowadays sticks to the fun (and fast) 35+ field.  You may be able to spot him on Halloween racing as a FasCat Cheetah!

Jeff Winkler

Jeff is a longtime cyclocross racer and has coached at various cyclocross camps and clinics in the Midwest.  He has been racing Pro/ Cat 1 & Masters categories for the last several years, including US Nationals and Masters Worlds in Mol, Belgium.  He's pictured here sporting the Boss of Cross Kansas Cyclocross Series leader's jersey - Dukes of Hazzard theme.

Jon Tarkington

"Teton" has been racing 'cross since he was a wee junior back in 1991 at the Chatfield reservoir.  He's raced cyclocross every year since, including several trips to US Nationals.  Teton will be our "course master" or in other words setting up the camp's very own cyclocross course.  If you want to work on your turns, berms or race starts, Teton will be responsible for challenging you to improve your cyclocross skills.  Plus he'll also be on hand to work one on one with you to nail down the basic techniques the "rigth way".
