The 2009 Elite PowerTap is a superb value and would make a great introductory powermeter or a training wheel to compliment a race only powertap system.  The Pro weighs in slightly heavier (624g) than the Pro hub and also does not include a heart rate strap.

The Elite Powertap is WIRELESS just like the Pro and SL models.  Additionally it is ANT Sport compatible with a Garmin 705 just like the Garmin Pro Cycling Team.
